Brixton Come Together is returning for a third year promising another feast of urban festivities. Located in St Mathews Peace Garden and running on the 20th and 21st September 2014, the festival is themed on Shelter and Gentrification in Brixton.
The event boasts a full program of live music and DJs from UK festival favourites Prince Fatty and Beans on Toast to local South London MCs Malachi and Maverick and Paul Barratt (Assembly of Creative Arts exclusive Jam tent).
There’s also a collaboration with Concrete Jungle Earthship to bring alternative accommodation themes and solutions to the attention of the community, with the ever contentious Brixton Green keen to promote their singular ‘community’ vision for the future of Somerleyton Road.
A new Kids area complete with canvas bell tents for shelter and entertainment will host international entertainer Sebastien Goderniaux of “Esperanzah! Festival”, Belgium, and there’ll be a healing area practising Yoga and Branyama, if that’s your kind of thing.
Rounding off the entertainment will be circus performances, Brazilian carnivals, enriching workshops (whatever they are), debates and a fun sounding 360 degree bar (“in a fountain”)!
Assembly Of Creative Arts is aiming to take their live music Jam Tent to all of the Uks biggest music festivals next year 2015!
